Available at AREAWARE from Fort Standard. I love these, their shape, where they are already a little bit worn gives the illusion they are a hand-me down from your favorite aunt or uncle from their child hood. The perfect blend of vintage-modern.

Here is a stop- motion ‘how it’s made’ video. So cute, I want to have them all.

Where I must be tomorrow night.

Some where over the rainbow, way over in LA, via British Vogue, the little blue gingham dress is up to fetch two hundred thousand USD. In my dreams, I think I’ll buy some cotton gingham, and make myself and updated classic – for next Spring.

I stopped dead in my tracks Friday night at the Vivienne Tam window in SOHO.

The images I think will speak for themselves, but here is a collection I drew while studying in Florence, Italy, in 1998.

While the designs are different, Vivienne Tam’s of a much higher sophistication level,  I couldn’t help to notice some similarities. I would love comments and feed back about this!

Goals in life now include:

1. Learning to tango

2. Owning a dress in the colors of the woman in this video.

3. Finding a man to tango with

4. traveling to cool and colorful places to tango.

(also reminds me of the strategic color placements in costumes and scenery of the Umbrellas of Cherborg – check out the trailer!)

First there was this..

and then this…

and then this…

and then the second video peeps were here…

I am mostly interested in the first video, for their almost use of Albers, none the less, super colorful and creative spirit, and well edited video.

The power of color in the form of lighting and makeup to change, morph and create. Stunning.

Which came first? The stance or the leg? Photoshop? Who knows!?

(I know, I know, it’s not really anything to do with color, unless you are looking at Angelin’as skinny white legs in contrast with her black dress) – It’s just too good not to post.

The colors here are looking fresh and new!

As usual I am a little behind – but this idea I’ve been sitting with since I saw this collection on style.com. 9 I’m not even a huge Chanel fan, but an entire collection out of my favorite collection!?  Wow.  I’ve mashed it up here looks, literally side by side to create another form of inspiration and additional 30- some looks.  Enjoy!
